I want to thank everyone for coming out today to my first ever Lightroom 101 class! I put so.much.work into building this class from scratch over the last few days and weeks and to finally see it come to fruition was absolutely incredible today.
Look at me. I’m the Teacher now.
I seldom get to geek about Lightroom at length, so I’ve been crazy excited to get to talk about my complete end-to-end workflow and long term archiving process!
Not the newest gear, but very well utilized.
We covered just about everything I could fit into one 8-hour session about Ligtroom’s Library and Develop module. I’m confident that the students from today’s class are going to head back into their own Lightroom catalogs with many more tools in their arsenals to tackle all of their photo editing and organizing.
This morning we covered all of the basics of ingesting photos onto your computer, culling, organizing, and exporting finished work in the Library Module. Then this afternoon students learned how to correct for white balance, exposure, curves, sharpening and noise reduction, and so so so much more.
If you’re familiar with these concepts, fear not because I’m already being asked when I’ll be putting on Lightroom 201! Announcements as soon as that is ready :)
In the meantime, if you missed this class or are interested in just learning a little bit more, here’s the Lightroom Cheat Sheet that I compiled for the class today:
A HUGE thanks to The Camera Store and The Exposure Photo Festival for helping put this on!
